Chest shops

Players sell items from a chest with a sign. Coins come out of /bal. No staff shop required.

Use a shop

Find a sign on a chest.

• Left-click the sign to sell that item to the shop (if it buys).
• Right-click the sign to buy from the shop (if it sells).

You need the item in your inventory to sell. You need coins to buy. Empty shops do not work until the owner restocks the chest.

Make a shop

1. Put a chest down. Put the item you want to sell in it.
2. Place a sign on the chest, or on a block touching the chest.
3. Type the four lines exactly, then walk away. The first line becomes your name if it worked.

Example

Sell 16 bread for 5 coins. Do not buy bread from players:

• Line 1: empty
• Line 2: 16
• Line 3: B 5
• Line 4: BREAD

Buy cobble from players for 1 coin a stack, and also sell cobble for 4:

• Line 2: 64
• Line 3: B 4 : S 1
• Line 4: COBBLESTONE

Rules of thumb

• The chest must stay there. If you break it, the shop dies.
• Put the shop inside your claim so nobody steals the stock.
• B is what customers pay you. S is what you pay customers.
• Admin shops at spawn (if we place any) show a name like Admin Shop on line 1.

If the sign does not change line 1 to your name, the item name or price line is wrong. Break the sign and write it again.
